November 4 - The Annual Club Meeting will take place before the Wednesday game.
November 5 - A Pro Am game is scheduled for Thursday night with partners picked randomly.
November 11 and 12 - There will be no Wednesday or Thursday game this week because previously scheduled church events.

Annual Unit Game and Lunch - Saturday, September 26

Our annual Unit Game and lunch will be held on Saturday, September 26th at the United Methodist Church, 271 Rocky Hill Road in Northampton. Lunch will be provided by the Unit starting at noon, with the game at 1 pm. There will be a brief Unit meeting with the election of the Board, during lunch.

If you are interested in joining the Board, or want to nominate someone to serve on the Board, please let Sheila Ryan know, prior to the 26th, at ryandahl108@gmail.com.

Please sign up for the lunch and game through Peter Samsel in Pittsfield, John DeBaggis in Great Barrington or Sheila Ryan in Northampton.

Next week, on Thursday August 20, we have another free pizza party, paid for by 2 of our members. Pizza at 6:00, game at 6:30. That is also a NAP qualifier game, which means more points than usual.

Special event
Unit meeting on Saturday September 26, at the church. Free lunch at 12:00, followed by brief unit meeting (Western MA), then game at 1:00.

Farewell and a big Thank You to Yan

As many of you know, Yan Drabek - our Webmaster, Maker of boards, ex-President, and the person whose incredible energy is responsible for so much of what makes this a great club - is leaving the area. We will surely miss her! But we hope to still see her from time to time.

The task of Webmaster now falls to our Treasurer and Gazette-poster. In order to reduce the workload of posting, starting in July the game results will no longer be posted on this blog. Instead, there is now a direct link to the ACBL website showing the results in the same format, or you can view the results on the CommonGame's website in a slightly different format.
